Valery Koroshilov (b. 1961) is an award-winning British-Russian contemporary figurative painter celebrated for his striking realism, bright palette, and museum-quality execution. Originally trained as an architect in Russia, he relocated to the United Kingdom, spending over three decades operating from his primary studio in North London alongside a summer studio on the Greek island of Samos. His distinctive artistic approach blends classical execution with minimalist, modern elements, producing clean, laconic imagery that focuses heavily on the human form, elegant portraits, and meticulous still-life arrangements.
Koroshilov’s career gained significant momentum following a 1992 exhibition in Amsterdam, paving the way for participation in more than 100 international exhibitions. In 2010, his striking painting "Ecce Homo" was voted the overall winner of the prestigious UK Artist of the Year Award by Artists & Illustrators magazine from among 3,500 nationwide entries. Lauded by British Vogue as a "Modern Master," his pieces are held in numerous public and private international collections.

- Ecce Homo (2010): The critically acclaimed, award-winning piece that secured his title as the UK Artist of the Year.
- P&O Cruises Ventura Mural Commission (2007–2008): A commercial project where designers of the luxury superliner Ventura commissioned Koroshilov to paint 36 distinct paintings and murals for the ship's Baytree Restaurant, officially opened by Dame Helen Mirren.
- The Neuilly-sur-Seine Villa Project (2012–2013): A private, site-specific commission in Paris consisting of 18 custom paintings and a sculptural bas-relief integrated into an Art Deco listed villa, which included a portrait featured in British Vogue.
- White Lily (2020): A highly recognizable contemporary still life showcasing his masterful manipulation of light, crisp floral details, and split-color background compositions.
- Sisters Confidential & The Water Boys: Notable large-scale figurative works showcasing his signature style of capturing precise human gestures, rich textures, and bold blocks of flat background colors.
