'Native American on Horseback' Èdouard Drouot (1859-1945)

A patinated bronze sculpture of a Native American warrior on horseback by Èdouard Drouot (1859-1945). Signed E. Drouot to base with foundry 'Etling Paris' to side. 

Edouard Drouot was a French sculptor born in Sommervoire in the Haut Marne region in 1859. Drouot was a successful painter and sculptor, exhibiting at the French Salon from 1889 into the twentieth century. Drouot mostly worked in bronze producing sculpture from North African inspiration, Native American and allegorical figures as well as animalier works. Drouot died in Paris in 1945.
