Description
Artemis, an Art Deco terracotta sculpture by André Laveysse (1906-1991). Artemis was the goddess of chastity, virginity, the hunt, the moon, and the natural environment. A rural group of Artemis kneeling with two fawns, set on an integral base. Signed Laveysse to base. Stamped for Susses Frères foundry.
