Antoine Ferracci (1890–1984) was a French realist painter whose long career was dedicated to capturing the natural world, urban architecture, and classical human forms.
Born in 1890, Ferracci received a rigorous academic education in Paris under the guidance of celebrated master painters Luc-Olivier Merson and Fernand Cormon. This formal training instilled in him a masterful command of composition and classical structure. He launched his public career in 1920, exhibiting at the prestigious Salon des Artistes Français, where he established a steady presence within the traditional French art community.
Ferracci’s portfolio is celebrated for its thematic versatility, moving easily between atmospheric cityscapes—such as his nocturnes of Paris—and detailed wildlife studies, including his textured oil paintings of exotic birds. Throughout his life, he balanced historical and mythological scenes with rustic, light-filled French landscapes.
