Paul Léon Frequenez (1876-1947) was a prominent French landscape painter, watercolourist, and engraver. He achieved widespread acclaim in the early - mid 20th century for his romantic, light-filled depictions of French public gardens and idyllic regional landscapes. His technique blended Academic training with late impressionist sensibilites.

- 1920: Awarded the Prix Raigecourt-Goyon.
- 1921 & 1922: Secured Bronze and Silver medals respectively.
