'Symphonie d'Azur' A large Art Deco Painting by Valentine Lecomte. Depicting an allegory of love and lost innocence. Possibly Venus with Cupid and Cherubim surrounding her. Taking influences from Venetian mannerist art. Signed V Lacomte and dated 1934 with paper label to reverse. Oil on Canvas.

Valentien Lecomte was born on the 9th February in Paris, France. Lecomte was a pupil of Tony Robert-Fleury and exhibited at the Salon of the Sociéte des Artistes Français from 1893.  Many of her works are now in England in private collections.
